The ones I have are in German and I've never seen any in other languages. But I've tried, with my German friend, to translate into English the summaries of the stories that is written on each tape and I've recorded the tapes in mp3 so that you can download them and listen to them.

Although the six tapes were released between 1990 and 1991 (by Polyband, Germany), the characters of the stories are always the ones from the first year (1988). Even though on the illustrations they look like they are mixes of the first and the second year style.

You can also notice that on some tape there's a little boy. I first thought it was Cherry Merry Muffin's younger brother. Actually it's not, just a friend of the girls. His name is Sauerkuckuck. But what is weird is that in these stories he has a German name. Someone saw him in a storybook, but unfortunately she couldn't remember his name. That boy couldn't have been invented by German people, so does he also have an English name like all the dolls? Actually I saw in a coloring book a bad guy named "Sourdough" (Sauer=Sour). Is it supposed to be the same character? Well, Sauerkuckuck is a nice little boy and Sourdough seems to be a very nasty grown man. That's a mystery. Contact me if you have any info about this.

Printing the cover instructions:

Normally, I said normally, if you choose 100% of the size of the picture in your printing program it should work, but I'm never sure. Anyway, if you want the cover to be perfectly folded in the box you have to cut it a little bit once printed.
Then, unfortunately the cover does not fit horizontally in a page. You have to print it vertically on the page. But most of all, do not reduce the size of the picture to make it fit, the folding wouldn't work anymore.
Every time you have to print the inside and the outside of the cover on the same face of the page, or in two pages, and to stick them together afterwards, but I have experienced that if you print both side it never works, the two sides are never face to face.
I recommend you to print some test pages in low quality and in black and white before going into slow and ink consuming printing, you will probably have to do some adjustments.

I ask you not to steal these sounds to put them on your own web site. If you would like to share these with others I suggest that you put a link to this page (and not directly to the files) and that you inform me first. Thanks.
